A Visit to Mrs. Tiggy Winkles is a must for fall and Halloween decorating ideas.

One of my favorite all-time stores in the world, Mrs. Tiggy Winkles in Riverside has been there 40+ years and never fails to amaze and inspire.  Right now they have a Halloween "room" chock full of wonderful gifts, decorations and cards (lower right photos is just a sample) and the "Christmas room" will probably be created right after Halloween.  This trip they had an entire wall of Kelly Rae Roberts' gifts; more than I've ever seen anywhere else.  They always have an area of angels, religious figures and crowns (upper right) and this trip they had a mannequin with gorgeous white wings and a tulle dress.  It's worth a drive to Riverside to see this store. Mrs. Tiggy Winkles' is organized in vignettes by theme throughout the store; baby gifts, toys, clothing, holidays, cards, jewelry, etc. and there are few stores that can compare with the displays here... There are several other gift and antique stores in the walking mall of Riverside and of course the Mission Inn is right across the way.  Visited a wonderful clothing store across the street from the Mission Inn, Parrot.  The owner, Terese Elliott is the designer and creator and she has linen pieces, jewelry, hats, purses, wonderful blouses, tops and dresses.  Not my usual thrift store prices, but you have to splurge once in a while...
